Received call Womens Cancer 412-385-2368 on June 30. Answered and nobody there. From other replies and also vague who call is from screams SCAM. Going on 5 years as a woman cancer survivor, I can say from personal experience American Cancer Society was very helpful and supportive for me throughout treatments. Offered home help, rides for appointments, discounted wigs and scarfs, gift card for mileage to longer distance appointments, very grateful to them. Would give money to American Cancer Society, not this SCAM.
Yep, you nailed it: a VERY good robo-voice caller, transferring to another robo-voice. Actually kind of funny to see the lengths they are going to, and the technology is impressive. Anyway, I did what I always do with this type of call: played along, listened to the spiel, asked what their organization does (you could almost hear the gears grinding while Robo-Girl searched "her" data banks for some kind of response), then, all-important, I PLEDGED $50 ("The Big One"). Oh, except my credit card isn't available, so you'll have to send an invoice in the mail and I'll pay by check. I hope Robo-Girl is stocked up on WD40 so "she" doesn't rust waiting for my money...
Two calls so far; one from this number and the other from 215-383-0832, both with Caller ID of WOMENS CANCER. Didn't bother to answer. No message left.
I block all unwanted calls. This 412-385-2368 I answered (knowing it is a scam) let her go on and on proceeded to pledge 100.00 but told them I have no credit card or checking account &she would have to come and pick it up or give me addresses to deliver it. Lol bang....hung up
