Received call Womens Cancer 412-385-2368 on June 30. Answered and nobody there. From other replies and also vague who call is from screams SCAM. Going on 5 years as a woman cancer survivor, I can say from personal experience American Cancer Society was very helpful and supportive for me throughout treatments. Offered home help, rides for appointments, discounted wigs and scarfs, gift card for mileage to longer distance appointments, very grateful to them. Would give money to American Cancer Society, not this SCAM.
She said she was Jessica from Women's Cancer Fund and looking for a donation. I told them to send to me as I won't give over the phone. I didn't give her any personal info. I also asked if she was a live person and she said yes but working from a script. I hung up! They use Pittsburgh and Philadelphia numbers. This is a scam.
No description on the number, but I got a phone call from this number this morning, a robot saying my first name. Since I had heard about the "Can you hear me?" scam recently, instead of saying "Yes?" I just kept saying hello. After it repeated my name 3 times and I just kept saying "Hello" instead of yes, it switched to "Can you hear me"? I hung up.
Be careful.
