received this call the day after I had trouble-left no msg

This was a legitimate call from DirecTV after I filled out an online request for them to contact me.

9:33 AM 1/3/09.  Left message.  Unable to understand - very foreign voice - perhaps far eastern.  On land line, not cell.  Our carrier is AT&T.  Who is this who's calling?  Wierd.

I answered the phone and they just played some kind of [***] elevator music. I said "hello... hello" several times, no one answered.
I have a Verizon phone but, I don't need any customer service.
