Received several messages from this # called back today spoke to someone with an accent by the name of Wilbur claiming to be from the IRS with phones ringing in the background, wanted the name of my attorney; I asked why & then he hung up!
Receive multiple calls a day. Foreign voice on message reports they are from IRS and I need to call. Redial only goes to series of automated asking for personal information.
Office of Julie Smith calling. Thanks for posting so I know I am not the only one getting these calls. Call came from 415-234-9490 from the San Francisco/North Bay Area.
Got the call from Julie Smith on voicemail. Quickly Googled! & saw all the posting! Thanks to u all that took the time. I sure blocked the calls. Thanks 4 giving me piece of mind!
I am so tired of this. Last week I received 2 calls from a Sunnyvale, CA #408-543-9125. It sounded like a call enter with all kinds of voices in the background. The caller said his name was Michael Clark, with a strong foreign accent. He proceeded to tellme that a law enforcement action has been placed against means that I needed to speak to a IRS officer to find out about my case. Gave me the same exact number to call back on. At this point I was sure it was a scam, but called anyway to get a voicemail of a John Smith, strong accent. Hung up, a week later another call from the same person, this time very hostile with me. Telling me I had to call back and talk to a officer. So I did, I called back someone answered claiming to me Robert Baker, I asked him why the names were different. The voicemail name did not match but yet the voices did. He got irate with me and said well was it this name told me an American name and I said NO, he said well why does that matter. I said because this is a scam and he yelled at me and told me that an officer was going to come to house and arrest me and take me to jail. I said FINE with me and slammed the phone down.
Now today 11/19/14 I get a call for the Novato #415-234-9490. I didn't answer and got the automated voicemail from Julie Smith. SCAM!!!!!
I feel like I'm being harassed!!!! Hopefully NO one will fall victim to these people!!!
