Received several messages from this # called back today spoke to someone with an accent by the name of Wilbur claiming to be from the IRS with phones ringing in the background, wanted the name of my attorney; I asked why & then he hung up!
I don't even live in the US and I got the computer voice claiming to be Officer Julie Smith, IRS etc., etc.
These scammers are the lowest form of life--not quite human in fact. If any of them could just do an honest day's work, this world may have hope. But they're sub-human devious pieces of crap whom I can only hope get their due.
DO NOT RESPOND to them!!!!!
THEY CLAIM TO BE IRS, IRS would not hang up on you, they want your money (CALLED cell)
This is a scam, I called back and it says they are busy and to leave a message. I called back again and a woman picked up and I said why are you calling, this number is a scam. "Who said it was a scam?" I told her I looked the number up and it say it is a scam, she hung up on me. Called back like ten more times and a man picked up, I asked why they are calling and then he hung up! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO, they asked the phone number they called and I told them no.
I have called them back back at least 10 times, a few hang ups. Each time it is a different person. This time, they answered as IRS. I let them know I was returning a message to call and I asked "Why are you be calling, is this for collections?", he said, "I don't know I need your phone number". I asked again "why would you be calling?" . He responded with a raised (getting angry, love it) voice and said, I need your case number". I asked "Can I speak with your supervisor" he hung up. I have filed a complaint with the FCC.
This message was left. "Hi officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 415-234-9490. I repeat it's 415-234-9490. Go disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care."
When I called they tried to get me to "resolve" a tax matter without any documentation.
