Received several messages from this # called back today spoke to someone with an accent by the name of Wilbur claiming to be from the IRS with phones ringing in the background, wanted the name of my attorney; I asked why & then he hung up!
Just received the same IRS scam call on my home voicemail. The person introduced himself as Paul Richardson from the IRS litigation department. These scam calls will likely increase during the Holidays. Stay safe out there everyone.
Received a recorded phone message. Returned the call. Could not understand the person because of a heavy accent. Said I was in violation of tax fraud based on wages reported and that they tried unsuccessfully to serve me with papers. They had my correct address, but I did not offer any other information. To add insult to injury, they hung up on me!
There are no supervisors, all the people at the all center are in the same stewpot of Indian or Pakistani scammers. I've noticed that asking for a supervisor really makes them go off. Which is fine.
