Received several messages from this # called back today spoke to someone with an accent by the name of Wilbur claiming to be from the IRS with phones ringing in the background, wanted the name of my attorney; I asked why & then he hung up!
Got a threatening call from Jule Smith at 415-234-9490 on Thanksgiving morning. She identified herself as an IRS officer. Told me the issue was "Time Sensitive". She warned me against disregarding the message.
A note to "Julie" and her fellow Indian scammers: Today (November 27th) is Thanksgiving. I doubt that even IRS agents are working today.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:

•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I didn't answer the first call and they called back. Very broken English. After I told them they are not the IRS and asked if he thought I was a fool. He answered yes, and I said I thought so and hung up.
I received an automoated call from 415-234-9490, an "officer Julie Smith from the IRS" claiming the issue was urgent. This is an awful scam, especially at this time of year.
