i got this call at 6am. I pay my taxes so this was suspicious right away. I googled this number and got results right away that this is a scam.
I'm glad you have taken the time to research this number and not fall victim to this horrible and scary extortion. I really hate people like this. Making ends meet is already a challenge. Take care and report your incident.
No Indian or tropical accent, just computer text-to-speech generator. Really no easier to understand, though. I always let the voice mail pick up when I don't recognize the number, so I didn't actually speak to anyone.
Same deal though... please call us to fix these issues, please do not disregard this message, then repeated several times the number to call back to.
Same as the other callers. Thick Indian accent (gentle)man tells me I have a lawsuit pending against me and not to interrupt him until I hear all of the details. He was almost inaudible and there were a lot of other people in the background that sounded like they were on calls also.
According to him, I should have been served paperwork but since I had not he will discuss the seriousness of the issue with me. Going to jail, freezing my assets, they need a payment...blah, blah, blah.
I was reading the above complaints as he was giving me all of these details which prompted me to ask him to give me his IRS agent ID #. He then told me to "suck his d&%$" and I asked him to do the same. :)

I got the same call today They make all kinds of threats like jail, fines, legal fees. Supervisor name that had called was June Smith. Luckily I was on my cell phone and it disconnected. However they did try to call me back from that # and another # 800 829-1040 I did not pick up but I bet that is a # to stay away from too. They try to get you to act right away rather than do your research and mentioned some 3 hour window to act to avoid trouble
