My client got a call from this number threatening him w/an arrest because the police were right around the corner...They wanted a credit card...The IRS will NEVER call you because they don't have your cell or home number. They will write to you & give a number for YOU to call back & they give an ID number...They will not threaten you with arrest or deportation...These people are disgusting human beings preying on the innocent, elderly and aliens...Sickening situation.
Automated message gave name of Julie Smith and said she was with Revenue Service and she had a direct line at 415-234-9730... I should not disregard this message but should call immediately before any action is taken against me. I did not call this number.
Got a call the day after thanksgiving..the female voice left a message.. I called them back no answer.. then I kept calling and finally after 4 calls a male picked up the phone. I told him a i got a call from this number.. He asked me if I have a case number .. I said no.. then he asked me if the number we called is a cell phone or home.. with this I got suspicious. I asked him how do i know if this is IRS or fake.. he got mad at me.. and started saying when police will come to your house and/or work and will drag you to court then you will know this is not fake.. At this point I knew its fake as you will first get court notification to your address (served) and only if you don't respond to the court orders. Court will issue a warrant for you. Only after warrant cops will come to get you.
