My client got a call from this number threatening him w/an arrest because the police were right around the corner...They wanted a credit card...The IRS will NEVER call you because they don't have your cell or home number. They will write to you & give a number for YOU to call back & they give an ID number...They will not threaten you with arrest or deportation...These people are disgusting human beings preying on the innocent, elderly and aliens...Sickening situation.
Got the same call as everyone else here. I had a feeling it was a scam so I googled the number and found this site. I've now blocked their number. The less contact you have with scum like this, the better.
Fake IRS call from a Julie Smith. Knew it was fishy because if the IRS has you on their list you will be notified by US mail. Don't respond to any calls from this number and if you do don't be fooled or bullied into anything regardless of information the person you speak to may have about you. These people prey on the weak and vulnerable.
"Hi officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 415-234-9730. I repeat it's 415-234-9730. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care."
