My client got a call from this number threatening him w/an arrest because the police were right around the corner...They wanted a credit card...The IRS will NEVER call you because they don't have your cell or home number. They will write to you & give a number for YOU to call back & they give an ID number...They will not threaten you with arrest or deportation...These people are disgusting human beings preying on the innocent, elderly and aliens...Sickening situation.
Automated message gave name of Julie Smith and said she was with Revenue Service and she had a direct line at 415-234-9730... I should not disregard this message but should call immediately before any action is taken against me. I did not call this number.
This number is a scam. Don't even bother calling back they are located in some 3rd world country, and they all speak with an accent they are trying hard to hide. The irs never calls you, and if you had a court date, you would receive the notice by mail, not with a call.

12/1/14 @ 10:36 a.m---We also received this call from a recorded message with the same name. Officer Julie Smith, of the IRS calling on an urgent matter. Advised that I or my "attorney of record" needed to call her back on her direct line @415-234-9730. Phone # came up "unknown" on our caller ID. IRS never calls like this without first sending you a notice or bill. It has to be a scam.
