Today I got a call from this number too. Same description as everyone else's here. A guy with Indian accent left a voice message claiming there is security issue with immigration bureau threatening legal action if we don't reply his call.
I also got a nasty call from 415 251 3769 in the same nature. I can not believe a government agency can be so rude with intimadation and threatening as the tactics. Is this legal ? who is taking care of this type of calls.
This is a caller using a magicJack number and pretending to be from the IRS. Got a phone message today from this number from "Dave Smith", with VERY heavy accent. Told me to call the second I got the message regarding a tax deficiency. I could not understand most of what he said, but, using my caller I.d. I called him back. Got.another man who answered and didn't seem to know what I was talking about. He asked for my reference number, I told him I didn't have it since Dave Smith had such a heavy accent and I couldn't understand his message. So he tells me the IRS does not employ people with heavy accents,WHAT????? Really??? Soooooo, I was already suspicious but that sealed the deal for me! Especially when he chuckled and hurried off the phone and kept telling me I was talking to the IRS and I had the wrong number. He hung up on me, the whole conversation made no sense......scam!!! Tell your loved ones to watch out, I feel horrible for the people who don't know better and are getting scammed out of money they don't have.
ust received two calls this morning from this number, a male with an Indian accent left a message. I called back an a female with an Indian accent answered saying "Thank you for calling the Internal Revenue Service, can I help you" I just hung up. I knew it was BS before I called but I was curious. I really do not understand how the FBI just ignores this type of thing. What the fu$$K do Americans pay all this money for if our federal agencies can not shut criminal organizations like this.
