They are located in India.  There's not much the US can do and the Indian government won't do anything.

Got the call here.  Accent, hard to understand, claimed to be "James Anderson" (sorry, there aren't too many James Andersons with such a thick non-US accent).  Funny phrasing "The minute you listen to this message, you should call me back"...  Hah!  Also interesting the names they use are all very common names - James Anderson, Brian Smith, Anna Jones, David Parker, James Brown...  How many real IRS staffs all have names made up of the most common American names!??

calls 2-3 times a day, 3-5 times a week. No messages when I don't answer. When I do answer I just walk away, they hang up. Today they left a message. Funny. I called "Sammy" back and played along cause last year I had to pay to State and Fed for a previous yr., he said have my accountant call back.....oh my I said, Im in trouble...CLICK....so I called back, TEN TIMES!!! Finally Got "Derek".... told him I owed and what could I do? He said rererence number please...I said you should know it cause you've been calling me for weeks and your NOT the IRS but I called my Attorney who said they were gonna sue you [***] if you didn't quit calling me...CLICK. So I called again, and again, and they kept hanging up on me. Finally got "Sammy", and I screamed at him, I got ALL day to call you, just like you got ALL day to make bogus calls to people you POS, he laughed hahaha....and then CLICK again.....I think I made my point AND had some fun. Im  gonna post this comment everywhere!
