Today I got a call from this number too. Same description as everyone else's here. A guy with Indian accent left a voice message claiming there is security issue with immigration bureau threatening legal action if we don't reply his call.
I've noticed a lot of these calls come from area code (415). They like that area code for some reason. Also they like to pick on recent immigrants and single women. Total scum. It's stupid too, because they always say the sheriff is going to arrest you for non-payment of federal taxes. Totally stupid statement which shouldn't fool a baby. That statement alone should set off flashing red lights. Yet they continue to use that sort of threat, no matter how stupid it sounds to most Americans. Someone's got to pull them down.
yup and the guy barely knew english haha. He tricked my mom but I knew right away it was BS. "don't try and understand what my message says,call back or you get arrested" IDIOOOOT.
Stupid scammers call and tell me there will be legal actions taken if I disregard the call or if I don't call back. Indian guy with a heavy accent doesn't even know what he's talking about calling people pretending to work for the IRIS. Calls with the name Peter George. I knew from there it was a scam. Beware people!!!
