Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.
Received two calls from 415-251-8890. Called back first time and no answer. Obvious fake, not IRS as they said. Never thought IRS would call in this manner. A letter would have been more likely. Why do people do these things??
I just had the same call. I did not answer and my phone company send an email with the voice message, this is what I got:
"The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 4152518890. I repeat it's 4152518890. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care."
Why the authorities do not go to get this people and put them in jail.
How do I block these people from calling me they have called 4 times today alone, I too called back went to voice mail but another time someone answered but they hung up on me when I wouldn't give them any info. tried a third time left a message to stop calling my number guess I'll have to waite and see if that works.
