I received several calls from (415) 251-8890 that advised me to call them back regarding my last tax filings. When I called the first time someone hung up on me. I immediately called back and spoke to some with a very thick Indian accent. He proceeded to tell me that I had miscalculated my tax filings and owed about 6,000 in back taxes for the last 7 years. He requested the contact number for my attorney because I was about to be arrested since I had avoided the IRS for the last 6 months. They supposedly sent me 2 letters for which I was not home to receive. I was informed that all my assets would be seized and there was a warrant for my arrest (to be carried out in the next 2 hours)! I started to panic until I realized that I should look into this because it could be a scam! I'm so mad right now...
Got the message from Julie Smith. Same phone number. Called back got answering machine. Called again got some thick accent guy asking for my attorney information. He said this was time sensitive and an affidavit was issued for me? HUH??? What does that mean? Would somebody please stop these people. My blood pressure shot through the roof!!
