Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.
I got a call from these people today purporting to be from the IRS. Since I knew I didn't owe the Feds anything I played along, sounding concerned and sounding upset, especially when the guy said I would be arrested by the end of the day unless I paid the amount due within the next two hours.
The fellow had an Indian accent and I asked how the weather was by him and he said it was hot. I then asked is it usual for Bangalore to be that hot this time of year and he said (or let it slip) that he was in Mumbai. So much for area code 415.
Got the call from this number as well.. on my cell. I didn't answer and they left a threatening vmail.. that I had to call back etc.. i called the number from a different number and got someone who had a very heavy accent and I couldn't understand what he said when he answered. I asked him what company i was calling and he said Internal Revenue Service... I did, as many have done and googled the number.. found these messages. The funny thing is... even if it really was the IRS... they would never ANSWER the phone on the first ring ....LOL
