Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.
Same as other callers, claimed to be "officer Julie smith" from the IRS threatening us with immediate action if we don't call back. Sounds awfully fishy. Ha!
I got the same message too "Return this call before we take any action against you." It was two call already morning and afternoon while I am gone. My parent pick it up and was confused about it. I believe it is a scam and turn out it is. :( These phone and email scam nowaday are so annoying.
Received two phone calls from this number within an hour. Felt it was a scam, but I called the number back just to give them a piece of my mind. Was greeted by a man with an thick accent (sounded Indian, but I can't be sure) from what was clearly a call center (phones ringing in the background) who identified himself as "Mark White." I asked if they were really the IRS and he said "yes." I asked them why they had been calling me (careful not to give my name or any information) and he said someone would be calling me back within 2 hours to explain. I said "No, do not call me back. Please take me off of your list. THis is clearly not the American IRS" and he hung up on me. Yeah, scam.
I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER THIS MORNING FROM A VERY AGRESSIVE MAN SAYING IF I DID NOT GIVE HIM INFORMATION IMMEDIATELY THE POLICE WOULD BE AT MY DOOR IN 2 HOURS TO ARREST ME AND TAKE ME TO JAIL AND I WOULD SPEND 2 YEARS IN PRISON.
