Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.
I got this message recording from the IRS so I called back and was able to talk with a scammer, (listen to the back ground noise). I told him to speak english and more clearer, he became belligerent and irate talking smack about my mother (pronounced mudder) and what he wanted me to sexualy do to him. If you don't take it personal or seriously you can have some fun and turn this crank phone call back on them by wasting their time. I laughed at what he was saying and the more you keep them on the line the less they can scam others. I even asked him NOT to hang up, "lets talk" which really pissed him off. They have left me alone, no more calls...
Got another message from this bogus number. The first time they called I couldn't even understand the guy because of his Indian accent. Really??? I don't think the IRS is smart but they are smarter than preparing an automated message with a person who clearly does not know the English language.
Got this same call. Eitther a collection agency or telemarketer using a scare tactic by claiming to be the IRS hoping that will pursuade people they call to call them back. As stated the IRS contacts people by certified mail if they plan to audit you, this I know because I know people who were audited at some time or another and ALSO because my wife is an accountant.
Don't be intimidated by this # 1 415 251 8890 and company's relentless attempts to contact you and get you to call them back. They are NOT the IRS and a small business or mom and pop collection agency working out of a small spare room in their home.
