I got a similar call yesterday and today.  Went to voicemail both times.  Have a recording of the call on my PC.  Accent was so thick that I could not make out all the words -- said I needed to call back to avoid litigation because of my taxes.  I checked, and it seems there is absolutely no one that cares enough for me to report this to.  Ended up adding that number to my call blocker (I can only block a max of 12 phone numbers, and that is filling up real fast).  :(

Upon further checking, this phone number seems to be associated with YMax Communications, and their "Magic Jack" product.  Recommend that complaints be sent about tax-scam calls from the (415) 251-9114 to their abuse e-mail address at [email protected]

We got two calls from this phone number today.  We called back, a heavy Indian accent man, Michael Carter, told us that we owed six years back taxes.  We need to get an attorney to represent us and pay $7 K by tomorrow.  We asked why there was no notice from the IRS for the last six years, he kept saying that they tried to send us a certified letter twice in the last 45 days, no one answer the door.  Leave them no choice but to take legal action to have me arrest it.  if we don't pay and a court day is set, the total amount will $15 K.
