I got this phone call today from the following number it's a female with a India accent my caller id says 415-484-8341 San Francisco/North Bay Area. Telling me to dial that number and a Kenneth Webster pick up with a non foreign accent telling me I owe in interest and penalties of $2800 while the female said $10000. Don't give out any of your information to these people
I got two very rude calls that did not allow me to collect the information as to why a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I was told I would be picked up in two hours and I could explain once I was in custody. I tried calling the IRS with little help. But thank GOD for google, I put in the number and it blessed me with this site. I am very very grateful.
they tried my home 4 times this morning, insisting my son take down this number for us to call. Very strong middle eastern accent hard to understand but said IRS needed my spouse to call immediately. glad this was posted so we could be certain it was fake
Got home to 4 messages on my answering machine from a James at his IRS extension 415-484-8341. Could barely understand what he was saying, and it took him 4 times to get his whole message out. In reading the above messages, he was stating that he was from the IRS Bureau of Investigation. He also stated for me not to ignore the message and it was very time sensitive. A little unsettling. Thank you for the reminder that the IRS does not call and sends their requests by mail. I tried calling back once, but after 5 rings just a beep, so told him not to call back.
Got one voicemail and one live call today from this number. They also called a few weeks ago. Claiming to be IRS and asking for my boss. I told them also that IRS sends letters not phone calls and this is a scam. They finally hung up on me after bullying me for a few minutes. I kind of get a kick out of wasting their time so I held on longer than I should have.
I could swear this very same person with very same accent is calling my house claiming to be from the state police in Fairfax county. They say if you don't call back in 30 minutes they will come to arrest you. I know it is a scam so I am not playing. We do not have counties in our state, in Louisiana we have Parishes! That and if people are going to arrest you they just issue a warrant and arrest you. They don't call you and threaten you.
They call me from this number 415-484-8341 and 415-8569 yesterday....
That I will be have a warrant to arrest me today is I am not paid $1000.00 to the balance that I have
with the IRS. Unfortunately for me I make the mistake of paid that money to them. Then after was That I realize that was an scam
