This number has called me several times and hung up.  Then I called the number back and they said that they were needing me to call an investigator.  I had my daughter-in-law call them and the name that the girl stated over the phone and her title was Investigation officer for the IRS and her name was Michelle Brown.  I am not sure what it is about or what I am being investigated for but can you please respond to my daughter-in-law's email [email protected] and inform her what is going on.  Thank you Alec Rogers

same thing. called claiming to irs. sound like a scam

My boyfriend received a Voicemail from this number, the man calling claimed to be from the irs and left a threatening message. When my boyfriend called back and asked to speak to the guy he was put on hold for 10 mins, so he hung up. Every time he's called afterwards, no answer. I agree, seems like a scam. The man didn't sound like a professional and I don't think they would be so threatening if they were legit. Plus all the contact numbers I've seen for the irs are 800 numbers.
