I got a call from Stephanie, saying if we didn't get $3000 into the "IRS account" by 2:00pm my husband would be arrested and in jail for 12 months with no opportunity for getting out or getting a lawyer. They wanted me to get cash, go to Western Union and call her back. She would then give me instructions on how to send the money in correctly.
Scared me to death. I called the IRS, they said that it is a scam.
this person has been calling for the last couple of days with a message stating not to ignore this call that they were from the IRS and the has been an insuffiency in my taxes that needed to be handled immediately.... then when you call the number back it beaps
Got the same message as I read above, a foreign man (likely a Pakistani, judging by the accent) with poor enunciation. I couldn't understand half the message, but I did get the "IRS" part and this BTW: number.

Got a call from a Gary Clark who said he was with the IRS and that I owed money for back taxes. I had to pay it TODAY or would be arrested. Total scam. We have to warn others. I already contacted LaPorte Cty Sheriff and Kingsford Hts police. Please make sure your neighbors, especially the elderly, are aware of this scam.
415-484-8569 called our business claiming he was from the IRS ( Indian speaking male) office personal asked why the IRS would be calling from California? Someone needs to stop these people before they get some poor senior citizen on the phone!!!
