I got a call from a lady last name brown stating I owed $4995.00 and would be arrested if not paid within
2 hours a warrant would be issued for my arrest. tried to call IRS but they were shut down.
After two calls today, one from Mr. Robinson, and one from Mr. Anderson, both in the same flat, droning Indian accent, claiming to be from the IRS, I called back, and asked that no more calls be made to my number. He hung up on me. I filed complaints with the DNC registry, and the FCC.
I just got the same call everyone else is giving. I let it go to voicemail because I didn't recognize the number. The man who left the voicemail had a very thick Indian accent. He said he was from the IRS, and he said I needed to call him back as soon as I got the message because it was a "very time sensitive matter". I could not understand his name because his accent was so thick. The thing Is, he had my last name, but he got my first name wrong.
I received a call from a person who left the telephone number 415-484-8569 and left the name Daniel Robertson. When I retuned their call a lady answered the telephone and told me that I owed the IRS $8,000.00 for 2011 and I was going to be arrested in 45 minutes and would go to jail for 1 year. There was more conversation and when I started to ask questions she hung up in my face. I called my tax person and she contacted IRS who told her this was a scam.
This is a scam. I'm a tax professional one of my clients called and said the IRS called and she would be arrested if 8k was not paid today!!! DO NOT PAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
