By calling the POLICE (I hope NOT 911). What would you being saying to them (as to the nature of your call)?
"aaahhh, Hello, POLICE DEPT:......
It’s almost midnight and I just now got a phone call from someone (i.e. a solicitor)trying to sell me a newspaper subscription from the SF Chronicle and I want to make a complaint because they shouldn't be calling people this late at night." etc, etc...
By calling the police, it would fall into the same category as to this story:
LIKE THE RECORDING OF A PERSON WHO HAD CALLED 911 because....
there was a spider in there house and the person calling, feared spiders, and they were afraid it was going to bite them and wanted the spider out of there house.....
these caller id phone#415-691-4608 keep calling me during after hours
calling my cell phone, home phone and work phone also during weekends too,
very annoying.
Got a call on two consecutive evenings from this number saying that I had an outstanding balance with the Oakland Tribune. I didn't remember starting a subscription with the Tribune so asked them to send me a bill instead of providing my credit card info. They called back the next night with the same message, only this time the balance was higher. Again, they wanted my credit card info. Very fishy. Thinking I might report it...
I just got a call from this number on June 8th and 7th. They don't leave a message. I call back and it just says all operators are busy, please leave a message after the tone. Right.....
I recieved 2 calls tonight about 20 mins apart. I live in Belvedere. There are only about 2k residents. I don't think the prefix is from here. Anyway it is bogus in all likelihood. If someone had anything of importance they'd leave a message. I like this posting and site. Helpful supportive idea.
