I am a Chartered Accountant and there is no such thing as "ligit telemarketers that work under Revenue Canada".
CRA does not authorize any body, even Chartered Accounting firms, to call people for anything such as audits or tax reviews.
The only time Revenue Canada will contact you is when they want to verify your claims on your tax return such as tuition fees, medical expenses, child care expenses and the like. And they will send you an official letter via Canada Post, not by phone calls nor by e-mails.
Just ignore if you see this number appears on your phone screen 416-477-2146. Whoever and whatever they are and whatever they are trying to scam rather than to offer, they are just another fox wearing sheep skin costumes. Jut let your answering machine do the job and don't bother wasting your time to talk to this kind of people.

They are allowed 3 answered calls per week. If you don't answer the phone then it does not count as a call.
If you asked to be taken off the list they have 30 days to do so and they can't call you for a year. Those are the rules of telemarketing. If you are on the DNC list then charities are exempt.

You can call me next time and I do not care how many times more to come but one thing I know for sure...if I do not know the number I will not pick up the phone and my answering machine would love answering calls from unwanted or unknown calls. You can make any offer as much as you want to my answering machine...!
Ya this is soliciting from Ontario Consumers Home Services, the group that goes door to door pretending to be from Enbridge and then tries to sell you a furnace or a water heater at an inflated price. They were charged with over 60 counts of fraud last year but somehow weaseled out of the charges.
