I am a Chartered Accountant and there is no such thing as "ligit telemarketers that work under Revenue Canada".
CRA does not authorize any body, even Chartered Accounting firms, to call people for anything such as audits or tax reviews.
The only time Revenue Canada will contact you is when they want to verify your claims on your tax return such as tuition fees, medical expenses, child care expenses and the like. And they will send you an official letter via Canada Post, not by phone calls nor by e-mails.
Scam artists from Ontario Consumers Home Services. They are the people who come to your house pretending to be from Direct Energy and then try to sell you an overpriced furnace. I had an issue with them and what I got after that was a call from some web based wake up service ... it did not actually ring on my phone. Also got some other type prank caller. These people are dishonest and vengeful.
we receive phone calls from collection agencies all most every day for the last 4 years But they are all calling for someone who does NOT use this number or has had this number for the last 20 years. I have contacted each collection company the phone stops for about a month and another company phones as though they pass my number to the next agency the 1-800 numbers are from all over Canada. today I received 2 phone calls 1 at 8;00 am and the second one at 8;05 am from alliance international when I phoned them and spoke to Susan and told her that the person they are looking for has not had this number for 20 years and ask her for there address she was very rude and informed me to google it
I am sorry but I would appreciate some assistance to stop this harassment. who do I contact since I have phoned every collection service.
TOTAL LOSERS. Don't do businesss with them. Liars. They have a C- rating on the Better Business Bureau site. I asked the dimwit caller if he could explain why their rating is so low. He said he would not know, he just does the bookings. Idiot.
