"Windows certified tech" calls on thanksgiving night and says my computer has a bad virus. When I told her I wasn't interested, she threatens me and tells me I will never be able to use Internet again and I am black listed forever. Not quite sure where I am black listed at. She had very heavy Indian accent.
Call hang up at 905 pm PST. Lot of background noise and waited for about ten seconds after answering machine did its thing. I did not pick up -- if you pick up then you are a "live" number and set yourself or the elderly or impaired that live in that house up for more of these scammers. Do not pick up, do not interact, warn them not to do so. Screen all calls. ONLY pick up if they speak and you know who they are. This is not going to stop -- crooks use robo calls as the most fantastic new toy invented. And no computer company calls you about your machine needing help. Playing games only gets you more calls remember. They get paid for interaction which means you get more people being called by thinking you are "winning" their scam game. Please do not do that.
