answered this one today (it has called before). male knew my last name. when I asked who he was, he hung up. using caller id, I called number and a recorded message referred me to www.securestech.net (or at least this is what it sounded like). there is no where on thi swebsite to complain about calls. the site is connected to correctional facilities. baffling and annoying.
Was able to return call to this number. Got an automated message that my call was from a correctional facility supported by secureustech.net. The website is supposed to be a way to put money into prisoner accounts for phone calls. I tried the customer support number and got an automated recording with no option to speak to a live operator. After I pushed different numbers trying to get to a person, the call hung up on me. Scam. Maybe they won't call back.
We received a call from this number this morning. The gentleman asked for my husband or myself by name. When told they were not home and asked if there was a message, the gentleman said it was a curtesy call from the state police or troopers and they would call back. Caller ID says Johnson City, TN. A return call goes to a message about the call coming from one of their correctional facilities and directs you to a website which I didnt go to.
Caller ID shows "Tennessee Call". The guy said his name was Mike ___? & was with a law enforcement agency - didn't catch which one. I think he was trying to solicit donations for local law enforcement. I started asking him to remove our number from the calling list & he hung up before I could finish. Wish there was a way to put a stop to these calls!
