They called asking for my daughter and hung up as soon as I said she is unavailable... must be a sales person... Good Grief.... after reading some of these posts... I hope they call me numerous times .
Our company Chairman of the Boards' personal phone is called all the time and they will ask for the 'boss etc. As the Ex. Assistant, I am to screen calls, and like do these people think that because they call someone who is the boss of a major company, that they are going to get him or her pronto on the line??
This last caller when asked (I knew it was another silly call because only key personnel and his wife have his private number) so when I was asked if they could speak to the boss, I said No and hung up!
OMG, they called right back and started to get mad as I answered the line, so I just hung up again.
I am amazed that some people think that because they call and ask for someone that that gives them the right to expect immediately, that person will take their call!!
Same as above. I "will" report on the do-not-call list. Maybe the are fishing for active cell numbers as to why they hang up. Or as described to me by others, a computer dials up several phones at the same time, and the telemarketer picks up the first one that answers, which might explain why some of you report they just hang up. It might be because they answer another caller just as you pick up.
