Changing your number won't help. These robocallers dial numbers blindly, or sequentially or in a scrambled order. They'll catch up to your new number eventually.
Since they're criminals, they don't honor the Do Not Call list either.

The tarnished-silver lining is that, if you are on the Do Not Call list, you can be assured that any strange solicitor who calls you is certainly a fraud and you don't have to worry about having passed up something legitimate...

I didn't get far enough as to find what the "hook" is, but I'm guessing it'll ask for a credit card # to charge your "contribution" to.
