They keep calling me. I am to make payments on some magazines. I gave a girl about 17.00 for her education and got a motorcycle magazine that I didn't want. Could not call the company tried on line to no avail. Lately got calls and said I didn't want magazines and never order motorcycle magazines. they don't quite. Told them I got scammed and just take me off the list or I will report them.
OMG, I am soooooo annoyed by these people i'm about to change me number because of them. they call EVERDAY four and five times a day. i just don't understand i don't know how they got my number to begin with. i keep telling them to leave me alone and the calls continue.
I got a call from them and they scammed me as well. They are a magazine company. They said that they would not charge me and they needed the number for a sweepstakes and they charged me $49.99. I called the number on my card and they canceled it. They then called me today and tried to tell me that they want to lower my monthly fee and I told them that I canceled. The man said that just because I chose not to pay doesn't mean I can get out of it and he was going to send it to collections.
They're scammers - report them to the FTC and also to your Attorney General's office. What they do is fraudulent - and you did not sign a contract or agree to be charged. I would also call your bank and report this $49.99 as fraudulent.
They cannot legally send anything to collections because you did not sign a contract for this - next time he calls tell him he's been reported and also that you're recording any and all calls he makes to you to forward to your state's Attorney General. You may also want to make sure that your bank accounts have fraud alerts on them.

They start out the call by asking if you are receiving the magazines you ordered and are satisfied with the service. I have never ordered any magazines from them or anyone else. They claim I recently made a payment although no charges have appeared on my credit card. The address they have for me is over 3 years old. I have been getting the same call from a different magazine co called Tropical Reader and the scripts they read are identical but MC claims thats a different mag subscription company. The weird part about this is I'm getting over 30 magazines a month that cover the entire spectrum. I'm almost a senior but get Vogue, Seventeen, Jet, Parents, Family Fun, Bride etc. It started out with a few mags 6 months ago and now everday my mailbox is packed with mags I have no interest in or would ever consider ordering. I asked my postman to check and see if somehow these mags were being forwarded to me after a Dr's office left town cause no ONE person is going to subscribe to this much variety.
