They keep calling me. I am to make payments on some magazines. I gave a girl about 17.00 for her education and got a motorcycle magazine that I didn't want. Could not call the company tried on line to no avail. Lately got calls and said I didn't want magazines and never order motorcycle magazines. they don't quite. Told them I got scammed and just take me off the list or I will report them.
I also keep getting calls from these morons.......after telling them 1000 times i never ordered magazines that i canceled..... these pond of the scum people continue to call...next time i will answer, ask for the names and phone numbers of the caller, supervisor, and president of company and proceed to tell them that they will be hearing from my lawyer.....see if some reverse psychology works.
This company has kept trying to charge for years for a magazine subscription I ignorantly signed up for in college. I had to change my credit card information so they would stop illegally debating my account. Just relieved another phone call and when I argued with the guy he called me a [***]. I will take action next time someone calls. If you haven't changed your account information or card do it ASAP
This number is definitely a scam!!
I just got a call from them saying its a courtesy call that Magazine Direct is charging me every 3 months for $50 and they can help me cancel the last 2 payments and bring the rest down to $15. At first I thought they were talking about my country wide sub that I already paid for (basically you pay a cheaper price in advance for multiple magazines for years). He kept saying that from what he's seeing they're definitely charging my card. He had my card's 16 digits and knew it was Discover. He then said my card was declined and asked for a Visa. I told him no one has charged me for anything so I don't need his help and why would I give him another card number?
He then proceeded to try and argue the number out of me by saying that he can't help me take the charges down if I don't have a valid card. I told him my card works just fine because I used it yesterday, but now I realize he was trying to charge my card even though I said no. (I have never been this happy to have used my credit to almost max lol) At this point he was STILL trying to argue with me that they were billing me, but I can't see it because it's every 3 months. I had my whole year's statement right in front of me (thank God for online billing)... Then he hung up when he realized he wasn't getting sht out of me.
He was good, but not good enough. You NEVER try to scam a NEW YORKER. He def called the wrong person. What an idiot.
DO NOT CONFIRM YOUR CARD INFO WITH THEM. THAT'S HOW THEY GET YOU. THEY KNOW ONLY YOUR CARD COMPANY AND FRONT 16 DIGITS. THEY SNEAKILY ASK YOU FOR EXP DATE AND CVV. THESE SCAMMERS WILL CHARGE YOU EVEN IF YOU SAY NO.
got a call about my magazines that supposedly have been going to an old address. pointed out that if they were charging me all this time, some 2+yrs, they actually owe me. asked to speak to supervisor. was called a [***] and hung-up on.
