Strung along this number for a while, takes you to a c drive that shows when has some trouble connecting to the internet (standard occurance in some home accesses) to try to prove that you system is going to collapse, tells you to go to www.supportwindows.tk. The page is for an outfit called ComputerSupport that wants to take your money. The person on the phone tried to get me to save their software -- that would give them remote access to my computer. That's where I stopped playing along. Shame on them. Their grandmothers should have inflicted on them what they try to inflict on others.
I am in North Carolina and just got a call. I did not answer because I am at work on my work computer. There must be a special place in Hell for these people.
I have received several calls from this # also from unknown # and unknown name. When I stayed on the line they answered but when I questioned who they were and could I speak to a supervisor they hung up.
Just got a call from these people. Speaking in an almost incomprehensible Indian accent, a man told me that my computer was sending out error messages to "Windows", and claimed he worked for "Windows" When I assured him that my computers were fine, he yelled at me that I should quit wasting his time (!), and should just turn my computer on. Funny thing, it's on 24/7.... At that point I hung up.
