Sure, "obviously" debt collectors gladly point people to helpful material on the very laws written to defeat their bad behavior. I guess when you can't use your better judgment, it's best to sling kneejerk accusations.

I agree with keeping audio documentation but not with any reflex to "work something out". This is RPM we're talking about, the kind of agency which is not to be trusted. Even assuming "you actually owe money" there are numerous ways dirty debt collectors can violate your rights. When that happens, they should not be rewarded with your savings but a Summons and Complaint. Never ask ''How do I pay?'' Always demand, ''Prove I owe!''
