They called and said I had been approved for a 9,000 dollar grant from the government but I had to pay a 210 dollar security deposit for the check???!!! WTH
This time I answered the phone and a woman asked for our neighbor, by name.
When told no one with that name lived here she read off OUR address.
Creepy
I classify this as a telemarketer because of all the voices in the background.
Just got "cleaning service" call. Didn't answer. These scammers just pick a street, enter address numbers & street name, city, state. Up comes something called " Mylife.com". This company posts info supposedly from public records : name of owner at address, phone number, age, relatives, previous addresses. Hence they can call you by name. Mylife makes money by charging people to remove their name, info. from their listings. " + Address" is another one, listing all, robbing you of privacy.
One answer is get rid of house phone..... Just did it. So weary of multiple scam calls per day.
These losers started calling a few months ago and haven't stopped. I usually let the answering machine pick up but they became so relentless that I finally answered and politely told them not to call anymore.
They call every other day sometimes twice a day. I've told them to take us off their list several times. They just called again. When I answered, the man on the line said that it was "Seattle Fresh Air." I told him never to call again, cussed him out and hung up. He called back immediately, then hung up.
