Its not the case.....when a payday loan place takes a check they know its not good. They can try to take you to court. It is civil. Unless its a title loan then its different matter. I bet you work for one of these companies
No. Debts are civil, not criminal matters. They are trying to scam you. If you talk to them again, demand they mail you validation of the debt. I'll bet they will find an excuse not to do that. Do not give them any of your information. They are violating the FDCPA.
called asking for wrong name, several times; from a Jason Burke, same county thing, graud cheque, case# , call in 48 hrs.......these jerks have got to be stopped!!!!!!!!!!

I got a called from them they even have my social # saying I need to pay all they will report me to the check system or take further action.. His name was Victor Something from Faulk & Sterns. I got a call from this number. Yes they treatened me said i had to pay right away or i'll be summoned to court within 48 hours and it would cost like 3500-4500 in court. The lady kept repeating herself like i was stupid. This was for something 3 years ago. They wouldn't take any kind of payment other than a debit or credit card. Don't give them any of your information. Everything seemed scamish about the call etc. Be aware
