OMG I just got the phone call about an hour ago I spent some time questioning this so called David Brown and when I asked him what month, day, and year this so called pay day loaned was taken out he said he only had the the year of 2010 information available. My dad was present at the time I was on the phone and told me that it was probably all crap! I was very suspecious after they were not able to provide the information I requested. They even threatended me by saying they would call my job and have me arrested there. After reading all of the comments posted here I know I did the correct thing by just hanging up on them!
Received a call on 8/24 and 8/25 re: being arrested. A 911 emergency call, asking for Ms. Coleman (are you Jenell Coleman's mother). We are going to arrest your daughter @ 4:00 pm for scaming money over the internet. He said, we will get you to for covering up for your daughter.
I am getting calls on the ministry line at the ministry that I work for. And the guy keeps calling my cell phone too. It's scary. They know everything about me. They keep telling me that I owe a loan with some loan company, yet they won't tell me the name of the company. I take that back, they said once what company it was, but the foreign accent was so thick that I couldn't understand it. Then they never told me again after that, no matter how many times I asked them. They just SCREAMed at me that I KNOW who it is that I OWE, and that I need to quit playing games. They claim to be Law Officers with a Federal Court Building that has a case filed against me, and that I am Going to JAIL! This same thing happened to me a few months ago. After about a month, the calls finally stopped. But in the mean time, they had made me look like an absolute BOOB and total crook that doesn't pay my bills, to everyone I know. They were calling not only me, but my friends, family members and my job constantly, relentlessly. It was ridiculous. And, now it has started all over again. They scream and yell and tell me that I am a liar. It's awful. This all started for the first time, about a month and a half after I had applied for some loans online at the beginning of the year. Even though I never opted to actually accept any of the loan offers I received, the companies that I applied with must sell their information to disreputable US and Overseas SCAM Artists!!!!!! Does anyone know what can be done to stop these people?
Everyone this is a SCAM!!!!!! I just got a call from them as well both on my cell then on my work line. They are doing the same thing telling me that they are going to come and arrest me for some loan I have. I don't answer the phone I just laugh. I have to many family members that are in the Law Enforcement and they remind me that it's a scam and don't worry about anything. No one can come and arrest you for a debit. PLEASE DON'T GIVE OUT ANY INFO ON YOURSELF. IF YOU DO YOU WILL LOOSE EVERYTHING!!!!!!! It may sound like they have info on you, but they don't. If they did they wouldn't be calling you. Think about. One day all you money would be gone out of your bank account. The other thing is that I watch my credit reports all the time and nothing out of the norm is on there. Again they just want money that they didn't earn nor worked for. Please everyone be wise...... By the way, the caller I had told me that he was an Officer David Brown. He's not an officer and by saying that it's a Federal Offense for impersonating.
They called my Grandson and threatened to have him arrested - when I called back it was hard to understand the person that answered the phone (not even identifying their company) and eventually he transfered me to an Officer John Harris who became very billergent with me and then hung up when I started questioning him - this time he was dealing with someone that did collections for 15 years and knows a SCAM when I hear one.
