When I get any calls I dont want, I just get them to pick up the call and say * This is the phoenix police Dept * or pick any police dept and say how may I help you. It tends to scare them off from calling again. Makes me feel better any ways LOL
I just answered a phone call from 501-321-4569 informing me it was the last chance offer to lower credit card interest rates and to press #1 if interested. I pressed #1 and got a man on the phone letting me know that I qualified for a lower interest rate on visa & master card accounts. I asked him what credit card company was he calling from and he avoided my question. He proceeded tell me a previous offer was mailed to my address and we had not replied. I told him we had not received anything in the mail. He again said he'd lower my credit card interest rate and asked what was the total of my credit card debt. He wanted to know what my credit card debit was and I asked again what company he was calling from and he hung up. At that point I looked at the caller ID and I called the number and immediately got a message that this number was no longer in service. I did a reverse number look up on the white pages and it was from a landline from Hot Springs, AR.

You have the best advice on this site. I've done the same thing myself. Reporting them to the DNC service is a waste of time. They're crooks! Do you think they will take your number off their list because the law says they have to?
I got a call from this. I pressed one for more info and said DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN (have gotten this one before) and said I am on the do not call list, and I will report you to the FCC. The guy on the other end yelled quite loudly NO! than hung up.
I am getting sick of these fake "about your credit card" calls. What good is the dnc list?
