When I get any calls I dont want, I just get them to pick up the call and say * This is the phoenix police Dept * or pick any police dept and say how may I help you. It tends to scare them off from calling again. Makes me feel better any ways LOL
What if you happened to be privy to some already reported stolen credit card and ID info and gave it to them when they ask for yours? That way when they attempt to use it a red flag should be raised drawing law enforcement attention to their operation.
This is a credit card scam. They auto-dial using computers and play the recorded message to search for victims. The numbers they use will change because they are using disposable cell phones. Any call from "Card Services" is a scam to steal your identity or credit information. They use hundreds of phone numbers and will refuse to provide any real identification information. Add the number to your "block number" or "call screen service" list from your local telephone company. Any company that contacts you should provide proof they are who they say they are. If they want your information hang up. If you call one of your credit card companies they will not share any information until you prove your identity. You should follow the same precautions with anyone that calls you.
The National "Do Not Call" list will NOT stop them since they are not a legitimate company in the first place.
