My mother received a phone call from this company. She beleived it to be a scam so she contacted the police. An officer came over and called the number back. The rep who picked up was rude even to the officer. The officer hung up on her. I tried to call them back myself and failed to get an answer. I get an automated message stating that all reps are busy helping other customers and it disconnects after that. I don't remember a whole lot from working collections myself, but I do remember something about only being able to have contact with the customer twice in one day. I can also tell you that you can have them no longer contact you if you provide them with what is called a cease and desist letter. They have to provide you with an address to send this to. I advise everyone reading this to do so.
We are recieving the call accusing us of oweing them. However we are still customers of Verison and always have been for the last 15 years. They don't say that we owe them anything.
So your the A/R person(Manager is an attiquated title)...big deal. Your the accounting clerk. Why not let the call go through and tell your boss to put on his big boy pants!
I received numerous calls from this number asking for my best friend and saying she owed a bill to Verizon wireless. I finally answered the call and the bill was actually for ME! I had used her as a "personal reference" when I got my old cell phone, and this company was using HER info to try and collect the bill!!!! NUTS!!!!
