IRS - HA guy made me laugh, specially when he asked my name and after I told him I was Eddie Van Halen, he still tried to tell me that I owed them money
I got the same voicemail this afternoon from a robot saying it was the IRS and they were going to sue me. When I called, the guy barely spoke English and asked for my name. He tried to confirm my mailing address and it was an address from when I was in college about 4 years ago. the guy said the IRS was trying to sue me for back taxes which I know is a load of bull because my CPA files my taxes and last 2 years I went through turbotax. The guy said the IRS has sent multiple letters to that address which I know is a load of crap because whenever I move I forward my mail and plus whenever you file taxes the government has your new address when you file. Towards the end of the call he said the IRS was actually looking for my sister and not me. Which again doesn't make sense because he asked for my name on the beginning of the call. Why would a legitimate company doing anything for the IRS release sensitive information like that to someone who isn't the tax payer. The guy tried to find out where my sister was.
I also got the call I called back had my address and name. I asked him for the last 4 numbers of my social security he told me that was privy info. He hung up but told me I would also be arrested. He was pissed caused I was cursing at him and called him stupid.
