No clue who it is. Probably some scam like most numbers. You can download and app called Mr. Number to hang up on calls or send to voicemail. It works great!
They must be calling all Texas numbers now. I just received a call and let it go to voicemail, but they did not leave any message for me. After reading some posts I decided to start blocking these calls and other phone numbers I do not recognize so that they cannot access my voicemail or anything else like that.
with the NSA collecting all this "meta-data"... why can't they find and remove these people... I mean its obvious they make multiple callings,.... surely nsa can get/has the do not call list..... it should be easy as pie to connect the two.... oh rightt that would out them as spying on us.....
My 85 year old Mother-In-Law and her Sister-In-Law, also 85, received a call from 331-924-9261 and a second call from 515-700-0000, both calls were from the same party. The scammers were so bold they conferenced both parties. They told the story about relatives needing money so will you please wire the money. A total SCAM.
Unfortunately the money was sent. We have notified the police, which took a report and are in the process of notifying the Attorney General. Today, the second day; these guys have the nerve to call again and ask for more money. I talked to them today, and they have not called the Mother-In-Law, but have called the Sister-In-Law.
Moral of the story, please do not let your elderly parents send any money without you knowing and Sprint, (515-700-0000, International ?) I know they are hard to catch but please do something to assist in stopping this situation for anybody else. You have the equipment, electronically and manpower, to impair these people and stop this. There seems no be no trouble tracking someone that fails to pay the bill, please track down the people that are ripping off our citizens.
