Got a call today. Asked for me by name. Wanted to confirm that I had just had 'Bladder sling surgery." Wha? I've seen a lot of commercials lately on TV about law firms who are going after some companies who have apparently manufactured the slings used in this surgery. So I assume it was a telemarketer about this hired by some law firm.
I told him he'd been given the wrong information, he apologized and hung up before I had the opportunity to say anything.
When I called back I got the "this number is not in service." I will be blocking it.
A male with an Indian sounding accent called and said he was from the U.S Medical Department. He asked for me by name and when I asked what it was in reference to, he said it was personal. I said I was the person and he suggested that I had had a bladder mesh implant. I said "take me off your list." He replied "No, I love you." I reported the number to the FCC Do Not Call Registry.
Got the call twice each day for the last two days; asked for my daughter; the man had a heavy India accent, said he was calling about her medical compensation claim; I just hung, he couldn't even pronounce her name.
He called while we were gone, and my daughter answered. He asked for my wife, then asked if my wife had any surgeries. He then asked for my daughter's name and asked if she had a boyfriend. She also said that he had an Indian accent.
