I got a call from this number asking about bladder sling surgery. They wanted to know the date of the surgery. I am an RN and the fact that they had my name, phone number and information that I had had any surgery at all is a huge HIPPA violation on someones part. Pissed me off. Tried to call the number back and it was disconnected.
Have received multiple calls from this number - I don't answer, they never leave message. This is ANNOYING!!! Hope this can stop this garbage. I'm tired of being on the so-called "No Call" list, and still receiving many of these calls, almost daily!
I always tell any telemarketer that our phone can trace incoming calls because my husband is a Federal criminal agent with the Treasury Dept. so they can just go bleep themselves. They hang up every time.
I just got the same call. Said from US Medical Care Center in NY. Sounded like they were from India to me. Spoke to several "managers" there cause I wanted to know how they got my name & number and personal info. Told me several ways survey, family and/or the hospital. I told them I was going to report them & they are scammers and I was going to sue! (I had a bad day @ work and was able to take my frustration out on them!). Kept telling they were legit, I can get a 6 figure compensation, blah, blah, blah. And as I am typing this I just realized they mentioned it was a recorded line...after the fact. I am on the DNC list, I will also report this number.
US Medical Care - Medical Compensation. NYC. Said I could get compensation for hip replacement or bladder sling surgery. Wanted to ask a lot of questions and when I asked where they got this information they said the Health Department (not so much since the health department does not keep info on recent surgeries). Could never get to what was in it for them or for me. I am also on the Federal Do Not Call list.
