This has also happened to me. And I live in Spain, but the truth is that something wrong was going on in my computer. It's got a virus and this virus must report to his company. There comes the scam. I also hanged up the phone. It was too weird.
Got a call from John Kendall at 11:30 PM MDT last night. My roomate answered the phone. He told her there was something wrong with her computer and she informed him that he had better not call again because her antivirus program protected the computer, and if he ever called her again, she was going to notify APD (Albuquerque police department) and they shoot first and worry about consenqueces later. So far, he hasn't called back.
This John Kendall showed on my caller ID at 7:45 a.m. There is a John Kendall in NY with is an IT techie that works with electronics. I do not answer calls, just check the IDs.
A John Kendall is in NY that works with Netgear products. So if anyone has a modem by Netgear, watch out. It is ironic that I just had a new modem installed after using Westell 6100 for 7 years. I think I will check Netgears website and John Kendall's website. I still do not answer the phone if I do not recognize the #. Calling at 7:45 EST am and 11:30 p.m. MST on a previous post is outrageous.
