What we really need is a telephone company that allows us to program our telephone in their system to input the #'s who we're willing to accept calls from and set it NOT to ring for anyone else.
If these landline companies don't do something about this ongoing problem, they're going to lose all their customers; or perhaps they make more $ from all these scammers by assisting them in their harassment.
Our local company already has been sold twice in the past 10 years, and I've reached the point that I use my cell phone almost exclusively. I don't give out the # to anyone but family and never answer the other few calls that get thru; and I delete any messages they leave without listening to them.
Being 'available' to a bunch of a-holes isn't necessary. Just don't answer your phone without knowing who it is or turn off the ringer ! You can always check caller ID to see if someone you want to talk with has called....

BUT GUESS WHAT? IT DOES NOT APPLY TO HOME LINES EITHER!

SAVE YOUR SANITY - BUY A CALL BLOCKING PHONE AND QUIT COMPLAINING!
