So grateful for caller ID and Voicemail. If I don't recognize the number they can leave a message. If they don't leave a message, then it wasn't meant to be or important. These loser's are always hoping to get a human to answer the phone at which point I grow alligator arms. Just not worth the frustration or time. If no one answered.... maybe they'd would go away.
Have had many calls from this number. I never answer and used to let it go to the answering machine. Have new phones now and no answering machine; instead the voice mail voice tells the caller that the voice mail box is not set up yet. My number of marketing/robocalls has dropped tremendously. I look up the numbers to see if I need to return the call. Almost always I do not. This caller calls at strange times so I never answer. Since presidential elections are coming, expect more calls from political parties, political survey takers, people who hit on senior citizens in the name of politics and fear. The list is endless. Easier not to answer even with an answering machine.
Caller asked for owner by name. Said he was responding to a reply card sent in for information on concrete and asphalt patch. We never sent anything like that. They knew our mailing address.
This number has called seven times before, always no noe there. Caller ID says "NEW YORK." Most likely some kind of spam or fraudulent sales call.
Interesting. I dispatch for a fire department. I just received a call from this number on one of our emergency lines. After asking the caller "what is your emergency", he asked to speak to "the chief". I advised him the chief was not in, and i would take a message, he then just said "no, no", and hung up. I think I've filled out the FCC complaint form on this caller in the past, identifying myself as an emergency agency, and of course, they do nothing. If my department responded to fires like the FCC does to complaints, there would be nothing left in my district to burn.
