'Nat'(?) called today from 'Corey Hicks & Associates' asked for the boss by name. I asked what it was in reference to, and he said: 'Although I'd love to discuss this with you because you are on the phone, I 'd like to speak with (boss' name) directly. Does SHE have voice mail?' THE BOSS IS A MALE, so I knew it was a scam. I answered, "If you don't tell me what it's in reference to, you won't get through." And I hung up the phone.
HE CALLED BACK and said, "Is that how you act when you don't get your way?"
I HUNG UP AGAIN.
I recognized the firm's name from prior disrespectful pigs who have called in the past.
Holy smokes, there aught to be a law against this kind of stuff. They call and because we don't want to use their service, they berate you on the phone. They call everyday, sometimes more than once a day. At first, they act like they have done some business with you in the past or that they are returning your call. After a few times you figure out they are just trying to sell you something and then you learn it's their collection services. When you tell them you are not interested, they call back. They really harass you.

Request that Collectors Stop Contacting You
You can send a letter to request that collection agencies stop contacting you.
Keep a copy of the letter for your records. It is best to send the letter by certified mail, return receipt requested so that you can prove the collectors received the letter.
Debt collects are required to honor this request. After the collectors receive this letter, they may only contact you once more to indicate they received your letter, or that they intend to pursue legal remedies. After that, they can no longer contact you.
So, I think every person and business on the planet should send these people such a letter.
Getting tons of calls from these guys as well. Would you be interested in participating in a joint complaint? I have filed one with with Arizona State Bar. When they called you, did they say they were calling from the "Law Offices of Cory G Hicks"?
Dealing with these guys right now. They did specifically say they were with the Law Offices of Cory G Hicks" They did represent themselves as attorneys? I would love to get your calls. I too got my first cal from these people. I am a small business owner and they are claiming I owe a debt from two years ago. I believe his exact words were " I'm Luke Black and I have been retaimned by X company to sue you"...It seems like he represented himself as an attorney. He refuses to provide me with any backup information of the debt and my proof of purchase, such as a signed contract. It sounds like our scenarios are similar. Are they still harrassing you, have they served you with any kind of lawsuit? I'm just wondering who protects our interests in this kind of situation.
