'Nat'(?) called today from 'Corey Hicks & Associates' asked for the boss by name. I asked what it was in reference to, and he said: 'Although I'd love to discuss this with you because you are on the phone, I 'd like to speak with (boss' name) directly. Does SHE have voice mail?' THE BOSS IS A MALE, so I knew it was a scam. I answered, "If you don't tell me what it's in reference to, you won't get through." And I hung up the phone.
HE CALLED BACK and said, "Is that how you act when you don't get your way?"
I HUNG UP AGAIN.
I recognized the firm's name from prior disrespectful pigs who have called in the past.
Spoke with Hector. Very unprofessional! Has no information or brains to think that reputible companies will do business with someone who does not have information for you. I hope they don't screw some small company out of business. He was rude!
I've been harassed by these guys as well. They called 10 times within the course of 5 minutes. They called once before claiming they were going to sue me to collect money owed to a company with whom we had never done business.
I've been called numerous times for months by "Luke Black". He's gone as far as screaming insults into the phone for 3-4 minutes. (I put the phone down) Along with a few other tricks, he tries to call as if he was a friend of my family. Somehow this guy got the number of my elderly father and started harassing him about my "debt". The last time he called, he said he was going to be by for our lunch date. The man is a psychopath.
They called me, claimed they were a government agency filing a "joint complaint" against a company that owed several contractors in our area money. Nothing came of the call. Next thing you know we are getting called from our debtor saying this collection agency is harassing them and being rude! We never hired them because we never have, never will use collection agencies. I told them directly and clearly over the phone that I did not want their services. Now they are calling us claiming that we owe them money because the debt has been settled and we hired them to do it. We NEVER hired them. They say that they are due 30%!!! of what our company was paid. I asked him to fax me our contractual agreement because I know I never signed or sent in anything. Apparantly they don't take "no" for an answer and will call the debtors over and over so they can just push their way in and say that they are due money that they have no right to! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
He called our company too claiming the same thing. We can't get rid of him! My advice is to NEVER answer his calls, NEVER return his calls, record everything you get from them. If you ever see any of that $30K he is referring to, they will claim a right to 30% of it and say you hired them.
